Though, both the Yellow & Black land crabs are residents, two years ago we started the process to re introduce a particular species of Crab. These crabs had been hunted to extinction by the locals [as they are edible] & were surviving only on the top reaches of our neighboring hill. It makes a unique deep pot like dwelling, in which, the young ones continue to live together with their parents. We now have a small colony established.
