Trees had been cut & burnt more than once, at various times, in different patches of the land. Many of them [more like bushes at that time] had developed multiple stumps & virtually all their branches /stems were growing in an unnatural manner. From 1993 to 95 all lateral growth of Shrubs, Bushes & Tree stumps were pruned upto a height of 7 ft. During this process not a single plant was removed. Pruning is still practiced by us on selected trees, on an annual basis [during their dormancy period], to further improve their health.
A decade and half ago we were surrounded by forests & ours was the most degraded. Today things are just the opposite
