The antiques in the Machan, the breathtaking view and the Crow’s Nest (watch tower adjoining the Heritage Machan) are worth a mention! A perfect getaway for couples, near Mumbai/Pune yet it feels like The Machan is located in a faraway land thanks to the serenity it offers. This jungle resort offers a very unique stay. There is no TV and little cellular range, which was a welcome break as this would be a distraction in a place like The Machan. Hats off to the management for doing such a wonderful job over the jungle and keeping a natural theme throughout the resort. A very well thought out and well-executed product. Last but not least, the food is really amazing. Order anything from the buffet or a la cart and you won't be disappointed.

We booked a stay at the Canopy Machan which was brilliant – as close to a treehouse as possible – a nice, spacious room, with a deck offering uninterrupted views of the jungle; it also had an additional bed on the "mezzanine" area the views from which are amazing. We opted for the private dining at our own canopy deck. It was a beautiful experience. They set up a candlelit table for us and the food was simple and delicious. Definitely recommended this for couples. They also have a bath tub on the deck which gave a very luxurious touch to our Machan. A must visit for a digital detox!

The Machan is THE place for people who enjoy nature. Such a beautiful, unique concept beautifully created and maintained. People who love tranquility will love this place. By far the best & most unique getaway around Mumbai. They generate their own electricity, there is little or no mobile network and the property is a plastic-free zone. So there is complete peace and tranquility. They also have guided nature trails and other activities within the property which makes it a very unique place to visit.

I went with two of my friends and our stay at Machan was so so special and beautiful. The staff is super amazing and their unconditional effort to make our stay beautiful by arranging a bonfire at a place so that we can gaze at the moon with the candles arranged in a circle around us left us awestruck. Our stay at Machan was not just a trip but it is a feeling that we are going to cherish forever. They have done a tremendous job in keeping this place as natural as it can be. I will recommend this place to anyone who loves nature for what it is which is peaceful, beautiful and alive.
